Scholarships for Dyslexics

Scholarships for dyslexic college students:

David Staenberg Dyslexia Scholarship - The David Staenberg Dyslexia Scholarship awards $1,200 to a graduating senior of a public or private high school in Lancaster County in Nebraska who plans to attend an accredited two-year or four-year university or college and who has a confirmed diagnosis of dyslexia. 

Gemm Learning Scholarship - The Gemm Learning Scholarship awards $1,000 to an undergraduate student with dyslexia and/or auditory processing disorder who currently attends college/university in the US or Canada.

Lex Academic Scholarships - Lex Academic awards scholarships to dyslexic postgraduate students working in Classics, Philosophy, or Art History. Applicants must provide evidence of their dyslexia diagnosis, and must hold an offer of admission for a postgraduate degree with a thesis or extended project component. There are no country restrictions for these awards, however your thesis must be primarily written in English. 

Scholarships for college students with learning disabilities (including dyslexia):

AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability - The AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability is awarded annually to deserving students with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (documentation required) who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited university. 

Allegra Ford-Thomas Scholarship - The Allegra Ford-Thomas Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded over two years ($2,500 each year) to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability who will enroll in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with disabilities. 

Anne Ford Scholarship - The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability who will enroll in a full-time bachelors degree program. 

Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Disability Scholarship - The Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Disability Scholarship awards $1,000 to a student with a disability diagnosis who has completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited college or university. 

BMO Capital Markets Equity Through Education Scholarship - The BMO Capital Markets Equity Through Education Scholarship is granted to an undergraduate or graduate student in the United States or Canada who is pursuing a degree in business/commerce, computer science, engineering, math, physics, statistics, or a related discipline and who has a disability. 

Dylan's Journey Memorial Scholarship - Dylan's Journey Memorial Scholarship awards $1,000 to a high school, undergraduate, or graduate school student with Neurofibromatosis and/or a learning disability of any variety. 

INCIGHT Scholarship - The INCIGHT Scholarship is awarded to residents of Washington, Oregon, or California who are enrolled in community college, university, vocational school, or graduate programs, and who have a documented disability. 

Lime Connect Pathways Scholarship - The Lime Connect Pathways Scholarship awards $1,000 to current high schools seniors with disabilities who are pursuing a degree at a four-year university or college in the U.S. or Canada.

P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship - The P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship awards $1,000 annually to one graduating high school senior who plans a career in the visual arts, has been accepted to an accredited four-year college or university or a two-year community college in the United States, and has a verified language-related learning difference. 

Post-Secondary Student Scholarship - The Post-Secondary Student Scholarship awards $500 to a resident of Illinois who is currently enrolled or will enroll in an undergraduate college or a technical/vocational program and who has been diagnosed with a specific learning disability. 

Ralph G. Norman Scholarship - The Ralph G. Norman Scholarship awards $2,500 to a current Arkansas resident who will be attending a university, two-year community college, or a vocational or technical training program, and who has a documented learning disability.  

Johnson & Johnson Access-Ability Lime Scholarship - The Johnson & Johnson Access-Ability Lime Scholarship is awarded to current college students with disabilities who are pursuing a health care or STEM degree at a four-year university or college in the United States. 

The Neurodiversity Scholarship - The Neurodiversity Scholarship awards $2,500 to students enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university and $1,000 to students enrolled at a community or technical college or taking part-time classes at a four-year college or university. Applicants must be diagnosed with dyslexia, ADHD, Processing Disorders, Autism, or similar learning disabilities. 

Wells Fargo Stacey Milbern Scholarship - The Wells Fargo Stacey Milbern Scholarship awards $2,500 to full-time students or $1,250 to half-time students who plan to enrolled or who are already enrolled in undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college of university in the United States, and who have an identified disability. ​​

Scholarships for dyslexic children:

Children with Dyslexia Scholarship Fund - The Children with Dyslexia Scholarship Fund provides students, beginning in middle school, with dyslexia and other learning disabilities the opportunity to attend a school that provides them with the support they need to achieve and sustain academic success. 

Dyslexia Road Scholarship Program​ - The Dyslexia Road Scholarship Program provides financial support (averaging $20,000 per child) for critical reading intervention services to elementary, middle, or high school children in Arizona with diagnosed dyslexia. Families must provide proof of financial need. 

Dyslexia Services Foundation Scholarship - The Dyslexia Services Foundation Scholarship provides funding for children ages 6-14 who are struggling with reading and who can demonstrate financial need. 

Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Award - The Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Awards are given to high school students 19 or younger who have demonstrated initiative, talent, and determination resulting in a notable accomplishment in any field - including art, music, science, math, athletics, or community service. 

Natalie Wexler Scholarship - The Natalie Wexler Scholarship funds 12 weeks of one-on-one, structured literacy therapy for struggling readers participating in Lexercise's accredited professional development practicum with a qualified and supervised adult trainee.
